IX Impacts Us
9 Things to Know about Title IX @ HSU
We want to create a campus culture that supports survivors and does not tolerate harm.
The goal of our IX Impacts Us student led campaign is to share about students' rights and options
under Title IX and confidential survivor support resources.
Title IX is a federal law that prohibits sex discrimination in education. It states we, students of ALL gender identities, deserve and have the right to pursue an education free from experiencing sexual assault, dating violence, stalking, or gender based harassment. It provides us with RIGHTS and OPTIONS if we experience harm during our time at HSU, including being able to accesscampus accommodations and 24hr. survivor support through our new Campus Advocate Team (707)445-2881.
Who is our Campus Advocate Team?
Our Campus Advocate Team is an incredible resource. They are made up of counselors from North Coast Rape Crisis Team and offer free and confidential support. They offer one-on-one counseling, a 24hour hotline #, and can meet or talk with us about our options, and support us in our choices.
You can contact them through their support/hotline at (707)445-2881.
